Description
Unity Des Plaines is a spiritual center serving a vibrant and diverse population of single adults, families, and seniors from different ethnic and lifestyle backgrounds. We own our building and property which is located in Des Plaines, Illinois, a Northwest Suburb of Chicago. Des Plaines is a mixed residential, shopping and business area that serves a middle-class population. We also draw from several Northwest suburbs.
We have an active Board, Chaplain program, prayer team, professional musicians, active youth and family program (the only Unity focused one in the area at present), audio/visual team, ushers/greeters, and platform team. We offer weekly: meditation group; A Course in Miracles group; and Families Anonymous Group. Unity Des Plaines also hosts a book study group that meets twice a month delving into The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer. Other classes and events are added regularly with congregants encouraged to lead, present and attend.
Unity Des Plaines is seeking a friendly, energetic, caring minister who is an excellent speaker to partner with Unity Des Plaines Board and congregants to fulfill our vision/mission/ and core values. Also, looking for someone who can help our congregation grow. Applicants need to follow basic Unity Principles and encourage higher spiritual learning.
