Relocation Assistance Request

As we move through our transition to Unity Communities and Leaders, funding for this grant is paused through February 2026. Thank you for your understanding—we look forward to resuming support once the transition is complete

 

Ministries are eligible for reimbursement of half of the expenses paid by the ministry, for transportation/relocation, up to $8,000.

Expenses reimbursed by UWM include:

  • Transportation of household goods
    • Packing, crating, and shipping costs
    • Temporary storage (up to 30 days)
    • Insurance for the move
  • Travel to new home
    • Mileage (if driving) or airfare
    • Hotel stays (if long-distance, but not indefinite lodging)
  • Car shipment
    • If you're not driving your vehicle, shipping costs.
  • Interview expenses for the hired minister
    • Mileage (if driving) or airfare
    • Hotel stay for interview

Not Reimbursed by UWM:

  • Home sale/purchase costs (closing costs, realtor fees)
  • Lease breaking fees or new lease deposits
  • Meals during the move
  • House hunting trips
  • Costs for new furniture, cleaning, or utilities setup
  • Pet transportation
